Minister of Culture Grange Congratulates Damian Marley For MOBO Award

The Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Award was established in the UK in 1998 and as since been recognizing the contribution of reggae/dancehall artists contribution to the music over the years. She said that all those artists are worthy of the award but ultimately there can only be one winner. Damian Marley picked up another accolade last week when he won the 2017 MOBO Award for Best Reggae Act. This is Damian Marley’s second MOBO Award. In her statement, she describes the artist as an outstanding member of the talented musical family, the Marleys.
